Fishing sites are locations were humans frequently caught fish and other seafood, evidenced archaeologically by fish bone and food processing remains, as well as fishing-weirs. Fishing sites can adjoin settlement sites and are either associated to fishing grounds or strategical locations in the marine landscape with fish migratory patterns or tides, frequently encountered in estuarine and fluvial areas.
