The maritime plan in Estonia also designate wreckage storage areas for those ship hulls which cannot be preserved at their initial location or in museums. One such protected area is already in use in Estonia, in the Bay of Tallinn.

Definition

An underwater area to store excavated shipwrecks and/or parts of shipswrecks, which can later be used for touristic purposes (e.g. as an underwater park).

Description

The maritime plan in Estonia also designate wreckage storage areas for those ship hulls which cannot be preserved at their initial location or in museums. One such protected area is already in use in Estonia, in the Bay of Tallinn.
